Go long or shortan artist’smonthly listeners
Perpetual futures on Solana, margined in USDC. A round prints every 15 minutes when two attestation roots agree, and each side’s open interest stops at a quarter of what moving the number would cost.
A round prints only when both roots agree
Each round, two attestation roots read the listener count on their own. When the readings land within 0.5% of each other, the top terrace lights at their median. Move root B further and the round stays dark: no price, and new orders wait.
An order waits for the print after it lands
The hill printed at 0:00. An order sent at 0:08 sits at the edge of the plate while that print ages; the 0:15 print, read by both roots after the order arrived, fills it.
Open interest stops a quarter of the way up
The hill’s full height is cup · L, the open interest at which faking the number would only break even. Below it, an attack loses money however far it pushes. Each side is capped at κ = 0.25 of that height, so the largest position the market accepts still loses.
Shorts sink into a basin three times deeper
Pushing a count down means taking real listeners away, so the basin runs 3× deeper than the hill and the short cap sits 3× higher. One vault holds the other side of every market; fills lean with its skew, and funding drifts toward the side that evens it out.
The vault
Every artist is a hill as tall as what it costs to fake
Bigger audiences cost more to move, so their caps are higher. Each market prints on its own every 15 minutes, and the attested series behind every hill is public.
A new market earns its caps
A proposed metric prints in shadow for 14 days before it trades. Curators then set its caps from a public cost dossier, and for 30 days it trades at 25% of them.
